Dexter has been improving with each episode and the supporting cast in the first 3 on this disc seemed to be moving towards being actual characters rather than collections of character quirks. Also the rising tension of the seemingly impending discovery and capture of Dexter was very engrossing. Then we hit the 4th episode here and it all kind of falls apart again as they telegraph completely what the supposed “big twist” at the end was (and maybe there were more oblique clues up to this point and I just wasn’t paying attention). I’m still interested to see where it’s going but still, the execution is so all over the place it gets rather distracting.
